To the Subscribers
by the Manager
The Light (Pakistan), 1st August 1925 Issue (Vol. 4, No. 15, p. 1)
Subscribers will please note that in the future no intimation will be given to those whose term of subscription expires nor will any V.P.P.’s [value payable post, i.e., subscription money paid at the time of receiving the magazine via the postal service] be issued in anticipation of acceptance. For in cases of refusal it puts the paper to unnecessary expense and the Office to useless worry. The only notice that a subscriber will receive intimating that his subscription has expired will be a red wrapper. So any subscriber who should receive his paper with a red wrapper should consider it a signal of stoppage. Unless further subscription or instruction to send V.P.P. is received beforehand, the paper will automatically stop issuing to him.
The Manager.
