Russian Translation of the Holy Quran

The Light (UK), September 1999 Issue (p. 2)

Members have already heard the glorious news of the Russian translation of the Holy Quran and the distribution of over 9000 copies of it, free of charge. It is now planned that the Jamaat [Movement] shall print, with Allah’s help, 50,000 copies of the Holy Quran in Russia for free distribution. This requires $100,000. Members have already donated close to $70,000 for this task.

Sister Samina Sahu Khan is leaving her family and going to Russia. She will stay there for a whole year to manage this project. This is the seed being planted to bring to fruition the prophecy of the Promised Messiah [Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian] in which he declared that a time shall come when the members of his Jamaat in Russia shall outnumber the grains of sand there.

Let us pray to Allah that He bless our sister’s efforts and grant us the joy of seeing this prophecy being fulfilled in our lifetime. Ameen. All of us should try and join the struggle of those who sacrifice their time and money to advance the Mission of the Promised Messiah and pray to Allah to give us the strength to join them.
