Miscellaneous:

  • The Holy Quran Search Engine — Based on the translations of Maulana Muhammad Ali, Maulana Ghulam Hassan Khan Niazi of Peshawar and Maulana Sadr-ud-Din:
    • The text of the Dutch translation (1934) by Maulana Muhammad Ali is now being added to the database (Chapters 6 to 15 added) [Added: 1 to 27 Apr]
    • New feature: An ‘Arabic reading’ mode had previously been provided whilst displaying chapters of the Holy Quran. This feature has now also been added when viewing a juz/part of the Holy Quran. If this option is selected the Arabic text of the chapter will be shown in continuous text format to emulate a printed Holy Quran. This feature will be useful for visitors wishing to recite the Holy Quran in Arabic [Added: 1 Apr]
    • Improved feature: When viewing a Quranic part [juz], a chapter [surah] or ‘all chapters’ using ‘Form A’, in addition to the city of the chapter revelation (Makkah or Madinah) and the total number of verses in the chapter being displayed (under the chapter name), now the number of sections [ruku] will also be displayed. [Added: 3 Apr]
    • Performance upgrade: The database of our search engine has been optimised for further performance gains. This will now result in faster searches [Added: 5 Apr]
    • Improved feature: When ‘Form B’ is used to search for a term, the Quranic verse reference above each search result will also now show the reference with the Arabic name of the Chapter, followed by the Chapter and verse numbers. This will assist in copying the verse reference in Arabic whilst citing the Holy Quran, e.g., سُوۡرَۃُ اٰلِ عِمۡرٰنَ 144:3 [Added: 7 Apr]
    • New feature: ‘Form A’ now enables Section (Ruku) titles to be viewed. This option will add the section (ruku) number with its title above the first verse of each section. These section titles are not part of the Arabic text of the Holy Quran and were provided by Maulana Muhammad Ali to summarise the content of each section. These are displayed above the chapters that have more than one section, i.e., Chapters 2 to 79. Titles are only available for the Dutch, English, Javanese, Indonesian and Spanish translations. Only the section numbers will be displayed for the Arabic text, German and Urdu translations. This option has been selected by default. [Added: 7 Apr]
    • Improved layout: The layout of the Holy Quran search form has been modified to improve its readability [Added: 8 Apr]
    • Bug fix: Whilst using the ‘Arabic without vowels’ search feature via ‘Form B’, occasionally some Arabic verses without vowels were not displaying properly. This has now been fixed [Added: 8 Apr]
    • Bug fix: The ‘Labels’ option (Step 3) on ‘Form B’ had stopped working. This feature has now been restored [Added: 8 Apr]
    • Improved feature: Our Urdu translations will now also display the Chapter number appended to the verse numbers. This will be useful when copying verses as the the entire verse reference will be copied alongside [Added: 9 Apr]
    • Bug fix: The ‘Display all chapters’ option (Step 1) on ‘Form A’ had stopped working. This feature has now been restored [Added: 19 Apr]
    • The text of the Urdu translation and condensed commentary (Talkhis Bayan-ul-Quran (Hamail Sharif) by Maulana Muhammad Ali (تلخیص بیان القرآن — حمائل شریف) is being added to the search engine (Chapters 1 and 2:1–2:46 added) [Added: 21 to 28 Apr]
  • Hazrat Ameer (V) Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Saeed’s Eid-ul-Fitr Message 2024 (1445 A.H.) [Added: 13 Apr]
