• The Holy Quran Search Engine — Based on the translations of Maulana Muhammad Ali, Maulana Ghulam Hassan Khan Niazi of Peshawar and Maulana Sadr-ud-Din:
  • The text of the Dutch translation (1934) by Maulana Muhammad Ali is now being added to the database (currently, verses 1:1 to 2:286 are available in the database and more verses will be added regularly with the aim to complete the project over the next few weeks, In-sha-Allah) [Added: 2 to 6 Jul]
  • The text of the Spanish translation (1986) by Maulana Muhammad Ali is now being added to the database (currently, verses 1:1 to 2:100 are available in the database and more verses will be added regularly with the aim to complete the project over the next few weeks, In-sha-Allah) [Added: 6 Jul]
  • The facility to show ‘Labels’ above the translation / commentary of each verse to identify which language is being displayed is now available. This can be a useful feature when several translations / commentaries have been selected at the same time, e.g., if you wish to display the Dutch, German and Spanish translations and select the ‘Labels’ option, then each verse will have the respective language label shown above it. Labels will not appear above the search results in Arabic and Urdu as these are easily identifiable. [Added: 7 Jul]
    • The facility to show ‘Labels’ has been upgraded to now also show the Urdu translation labels. This has become necessary as a second Urdu translation is now also available to search [Added: 16 Jul]
  • The text of the English translation (1917 / 1st Edition) by Maulana Muhammad Ali is now being added to the database (currently, Chapters 1 to 10 are available in the database and more verses will be added regularly with the aim to complete the project over the next few weeks, In-sha-Allah). This project will enable a comparison of the text of the 1917 edition with the 1951 and 2010 editions. It will also assist researchers in establishing the influence of the Maulana’s work on the English translations undertaken by other Muslims translators that followed this 1917 Edition [Added: 10 to 25 Jul]
